Coincise ("we", "our", "us") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting it. This policy explains how we collect, use and store your personal data when you use our service.

We may collect the following data when you use Coincise:
- Account information: email address, hashed password
- Preferences: theme, language
- Financial data you enter: transaction details, funds, categories
- Technical data: IP address, browser, user agent, session information
- Usage data: used features, errors, logs

2. How we use your data
Your data is used solely to provide and improve our service:
- Displaying and managing your financial data.
- Improving the app and fixing bugs.

3. Data storage
Data is stored on our server located in the EU. 
We take reasonable measures to secure your data, however, as this is a beta, we cannot guarantee data integrity or uptime.

4. Your rights
You have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Request deletion of your data.
- Request correction of inaccurate data.
You may exercise these rights within the application.

5. Cookies
We only use strictly essential cookies i.e. to maintain sessions. 

6. Third-party services
PostHog is used for analytics. Your email is not shared with PostHog. 
With your consent, the collected data is linked to your user ID. Otherwise it will stay anonymous.

7. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Updates will be posted here with a new date.
